Ride with madness is set in the long hot summer of 1995, when mobile phones were less common and fewer people had computers. It could be termed a psychological thriller, although that is a matter for personal opinion. If you stick the course, I guarantee you will not be disappointed, even if you decide it’s another genre altogether.
The novel stars a quartet of characters, opening with Helen Byrne, who is gradually awakening to the need for some personal freedom in her stifling marriage to the upwardly mobile Malcolm. Her compulsive involvement with ex-prostitute Carla and the flamboyant cult leader Addison threatens to tip all of them into the kind of madness where no one seems to have self-control – except the octogenarian Great Aunt Rebecca (yes, a fifth character), who becomes a painfully brutal antidote to the others. Events lead inexorably to tragedy (with a significant sixth character who has been around throughout), at which point Helen has some very hard decisions to make that will change everyone.

Sounds interesting. And from what I’ve read, it’s written pretty well. You’ve just earned a spot on my “Fellow Writers” List.
